5 Fun Summertime Recipes You Can Make with the Help of Nectar Wellness Supercharged™ CBD Oil

Summer is here, and that means that many of us are looking forward to making our favorite warm-weather recipes. If you are in need of a little inspiration before you get busy in the kitchen, these awesome recipes are a great place to start.
#1: Caprese Salad
There really is quite nothing like a caprese salad made with freshly grown basil and tomatoes, and some rich, creamy mozzarella. This salad is light, refreshing, and extremely easy.
Ingredients:
- ball of fresh mozzarella
- 3 large beefsteak tomatoes, stems removed
- 20-25 fresh basil leaves
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Balsamic vinegar
- 2 droppers CBD oil
- Salt n’ Pepper for taste
Preparation:
- Slice both the tomatoes and the fresh mozzarella into ¼ inch thick slices.
- Layer them staggered onto a serving tray, alternating between the tomatoes and the cheese.
- Sprinkle the top of the platter with fresh basil leaves.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a small bowl, combine the olive oil and the CBD oil, and drizzle on top of the salad, followed by the vinegar.
#2: Grapefruit and Avocado Salad
Another fresh and inviting salad for the summertime is this grapefruit and avocado salad, which gives us two of our absolute favorite seasonal flavors.
Ingredients:
- An 8oz bag of baby arugula leaves
- 1 large grapefruit, peeled and seeded, sliced into segments
- 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted, and cut into ½ inch chunks
- 1 shallot, peeled, halved and sliced thinly
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp honey
- 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 dropper CBD oil
- Salt and pepper
Preparation:
- Into a large salad bowl, combine the arugula, grapefruit, avocado, and shallot.
- Into a smaller mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
- Whisk together to form your dressing.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and toss it well before serving.
#3: Frozen Mud Pie
On an extra hot day, sometimes you need a dessert that can cool you down. This frozen mud pie is absolutely decadent, and yet it’s frozen, meaning that you can cool off.
Ingredients:
- 1 9-inch store-bought pie crust
- 2 pints of coffee ice cream
- 1 8oz bag chocolate chips
- Chopped walnuts (optional)
- 2 droppers CBD oil
Preparation:
- Take out the ice cream so that it can begin thawing.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and place the piecrust in the oven.
- Bake for 20 minutes so that it may turn golden-brown.
- Remove from the oven.
- Create a double-boiler by placing an ovenproof oil on top of a saucepan filled 1/3 way with water.
- Bring the water to a boil and place the chocolate chips into the bowl on top.
- Stir the chocolate constantly until it melts.
- Allow it to cool for about 5 minutes before stirring in the CBD oil.
- Turn the ice cream out into a mixing bowl once it’s softened.
- Stir in the walnuts, and then pour this mixture into the pie crust.
- Freeze the pie for 15 minutes.
- Finally,, cut into slices and serve.
#4: Blackberry Lemon Bars
Berries are a staple of the summer season, and these tasty bars allow you to enjoy them like never before.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup + 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- ½ cup melted unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 2 droppers CBD oil
- 4 large eggs
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 6 tbsp lemon juice (preferably from fresh lemons)
- Zest of 2 lemons
- ½ tsp lemon extract
- ¾ tsp baking powder
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
Preparation:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the 1 cup of flour, the butter, the powdered sugar, and the CBD oil in a large mixing bowl.
- Once your dough forms, press it into the base of the baking pan evenly, and piece multiple times with a fork.
- Bake the dough for 10 minutes in the oven, or until it turns golden-brown. Remove from the oven while keeping the oven at 350 degrees.
- Combine the rest of the ingredients into a separate mixing bowl, and pour on top of the dough, spreading evenly.
- Bake for another 30 minutes.
#5: Raspberry Lime Sorbet
Looking for a super fresh and light summertime dessert? Well, this fruity sorbet has what you’re looking for.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
- 3 cups fresh raspberries
- The juice of 4 limes
- 1 dropper CBD oil
Preparation:
- Create a simple syrup by combining the sugar and water into a saucepan and cooking on low until the sugar has fully dissolved.
- Combine all of the ingredients into a food processor and process until smooth.
- Either create the sorbet in your ice cream machine according to the manufacturer’s instructions, or simply pour the mixture into a large Tupperware and thaw for 15 minutes before serving.
